CEIS101-Introduction to tech and info systems

Home Security System for CEIS101. I had a lot of fun learning new things and over coming my challenges. Nothing feels better then to see a LED light illuminate after plugging it in. This project also gave me the confidence to complete some of the listed projects in Arduino and hopefully design some of my own. I can't wait to continue to add to my list of things I have completed!

CEIS110-Introduction to Programming
This project uses the Python language to manipulate data and turn it in to human readable form by data analysis. Starting with the first week requirements starting with downloading the required software such as Anaconda and Excel to the final project of using Excel to run commands to manipulate the data into graphs and charts. This presentation is representation of the challenges faced and skills learned.

CEIS106-Introduction to Operating Systems
This project is to represent the day to day task a Linux Administrator will be required to execute. This project starts with simple task such as adding and removing users and groups and transitions into more complex programs such as web, file sharing, email, and data base services. I learned a lot from the hands on experience this project gave me and helped build my knowledge and abilities to take the Linux+ certification.
NETW191 Fund of Information Technology and Networking
This project covers the fundamentals of networking which plays a vital role in IoT. In this project I will represent the design and developmental processes of building a network including SOHO router configurations, subnetting, connectivity testing, network documentation, and SOHO wireless network security. The IoT is growing exponentially because new technologies and applications are being developed on a regular basis which creates new job opportunities. This project demonstrated the importance of understanding Networking protocols and Network security.

CEIS114-Introduction to Digital Devices
This course project covers the fundamentals of IoT to simulate a Smart Traffic Controller. The design and development of the project includes planning, hardware setup, programming, and networking. This project is a great demonstration of traffic control by using a motion detector for the minor street and maintaining safe passing for emergency personnel and pedestrians crossing at the crosswalks. This project is a great demonstration of what goes into the structure of the red lights and how they work.
SEC285- Fundamentals of Information System Security
The security fundamentals within organizations need to protect their networks, devices, and resources. In this course project I am demonstrating the configuration and testing process in the Microsoft Hyper-V environment including encryption (Asymmetric Key Encryption), stateful firewall (NMAP), multiple factor authentication (Google Authenticator), and vulnerability assessment (Nessus). To implement security measures within an organization a BYOD security policy would be implemented to establish standards of their computing resources by specifying what behaviors are and are not acceptable.

NETW211- Fundamentals of Cloud Computing
This Course project covers the fundamentals of cloud computing that complements IoT. The design and development process of building a system in the Azure Cloud includes VM launch, Virtual Network (VNet) Configuration, VM instance security, cloud storage, and cloud monitoring. This foundation empowers the learning of emerging technologies, including IoT, and prepares me for my future career in Information Technology.

SEC290 - Fundamentals of Infrastructure Security
This course project covers the Fundamentals of Infrastructure security. It includes activities such as configuring firewall rules, deploying Snort sensors for network intrusion detection, exploring SSL encryption, analyzing traffic to detect attacks, exploiting Microsoft vulnerabilities, and conducting live memory analysis. It lays the foundation for your understanding of cybersecurity and prepares you for a career in Information Technology.

CEIS150 - Programming with Objects

This course project builds experience in creating applications with Python using object-oriented techniques to develop a stock tracking application. Data storage allows users to save and retrieve stock data and by processing the historical data profit and loss reports can be generated. The Matplotlib library is imported to create a graphical representation of stock data and a GUI is developed to allow stock data history to be uploaded in a CSV file.

NETW310 - Wired, Optical, and
Wireless Communications
This project introduces modulation mechanisms, encoding schemes, and characteristics of wireline and wireless transmission media that make digital transmission possible. The implementation and analysis of simulations involve baseband signals, AM/FM signals, Pulse Code Modulation (PCM), line codes, antenna gain, free space path loss, and fading channels.

PHYS204: Applied Physics
The best way to learn physics is to do physics. Not only does this teach the physical principles behind the workings of the universe, but also it helps to train you in the
solution of complex logical problems. This course project is based on the scientific method and is divided into six parts. Each deliverable builds from the previous
resulting in a full scientific experiment. The development process of the project includes critical thinking, hardware setup, and programming.
